Inspired by the immensely successful Gara Professional, Cressi has developed the LD (Long Distance) version for divers who may not have the athleticism of a professional diver.
The blade is made from a special elastomer polypropylene which gives a longer lasting, more fluid, softer kick that is less demanding, making it ideal for covering long distances. The softer blade is very suitable for use in cold water. Cold water is notorious for stiffening fin materials, making them less flexible.
The Gara 3000LD is an excellent choice for the experienced free diver. Its unique performance characteristics feature a more flexible, lightweight design with a custom fitting foot pocket.
The new engineering plastic in the Gara 3000LD is less reactive and nervous than the Compoflexused in the Gara Professional. It guarantees progressive and well controlled blade flexibility which gives an extremely fluid kick.
Together with the exceptional lightness and minimal dispersion of effort, the kick is more effective and pleasant than ever.
Like the other Gara fins in the Cressi line, the Gara Professional LD also boasts an industrial production process that guarantees very high standards of precision.
The new shoe pocket on this fin has been designed so that it is positioned under the actual blade. Together with the perfect synchrony between blade and foot, there is a minimal effort of energy dispersion while kicking. The anatomy of the foot pocket has been re-designed with a new, particularly soft elastomer, the result: the softest Cressi Gara fin ever developed.
One reviewer said, "they didn't feel like I was wearing fins ... they were really fluid"
The serious spear fishermen know the value of a good fin. The Gara 3000 LD is designed identically to the legendary Gara 3000, what makes them standout from the original, the material of the blade, is softer. The LD in the 3000 LD stands for Long Distance, indicating the main use of the product. These fins have emerged from the need to offer enthusiasts increasingly powerful fins, with less demand than the Gara 3000 fins.
Less muscle effort is required for kicking, so divers can use them for longer periods of time, without worry of leg fatigue. The softer blade is very suitable for use in cold water.
